Day 4 of Lockdown journaling. This time, I'm documenting my outrageous (and fun!) experience cutting my own bangs, and encouraging you to try something new too!
When you're stuck at home all day long, I bet you've tried something new. It could be a new hairstyle, new sport, new TV show, new dish... we've made a small change. I cut my own hair and bangs, and then tried my hand at layering my hair (two of which were successes, the layering was a failure). Before lockdown, I would have thought that getting bangs, let alone cutting them myself, would be as outrageous as exploring Outer Mongolia without a map (ie. a recipe for disaster). I experimented, and now I know what works for me, and what doesn't! Being cooped up at home can make us do crazy things but hey, embrace it! Let your freak flag fly. It's not like you'll see anyone, so you should take the plunge and try something you've always wanted. Try a bold makeup look. Dye your hair bubble-gum pink. Cut your own bangs! Go online shopping and buy a pair of neon green plaid pants (just kidding, don't buy plaid pants). Lockdown is a time for us to kick-start our lives, and venture to try things we didn't dare to before. Even if it's a failure (hello, uneven layered hair!), you can just laugh it off and try again.
