My Ultimate Travel Bucket List

When wanderlust takes ahold, I love to plan trips to places I really want to visit. Travelling is half of the fun, the nervous anticipation and careful planning also is part of the whole experience. Being stuck at home due to the COVID19 outbreak, I can't help but dream about all the places I would love to visit, but can't at the moment. So here you have it, my ultimate travel bucket list

10. Hanoi

I've always wanted to go to Vietnam, for the pho, beautiful nature and also the deep cultural roots. Pho is one of my favorite foods, and where else could I get better pho than in Vietnam? I've never been, but Vietnam's incredibly beautiful nature is well known, as well as the history surrounding the Vietnam war. All these reasons have led me to save a spot for Vietnam on my bucket list.

9. Venice

Known as the sinking city, where gondolas are a common mode of transport, as well as being shaped like a dolphin, it's no wonder that this intriguing city has captured my interest. I've never been to the picturesque and quaint city, but I'd love to go, try the authentic Italian food, experience the different lifestyle, or at the very least take a photo on a gondola!

8. Bangkok

I've only been to Phuket and Koh Samui, with beautiful white sands and crystal clear water, but I've always wanted to further experience Thailand, and I love the hustle and bustle of the city, so where else in Thailand is more fitting than it's capital, Bangkok? My bucket list goes on, with trying Phad Thai and Tom Yum Kung at Blue Elephant, shopping at Chatuchat Market and going to a night market, all of equal importance. I can't wait to fufill the list!

7. Maldives

Can we just pause for a moment and marvel at how clear the water is? Or the beautiful white sand enclosing the island? This is the literal definition of paradise. Even with all the tourists, it seems uncontaminated by man-made structures, with no skyscrapers or tall buildings or pollution, just lush tropics. I'd love to swim, snorkel or surf in the sparkling sea. Give me a second, I'm going to start packing my swimwear!

6. New York

From Central Park to The Statue of Liberty, from Times Square to The Empire State Building, New York's landmarks are known worldwide. The Big Apple is the world's leading metropolis for food, fashion and theatre, as well as being a thoroughly "modern" city. Famous for its museums, art galleries and Broadway, it's no wonder that New York made it onto the list. But let's not kid around, everyone knows I want to go mainly for the bagels!

5. Taipei

Taiwan has got to be one of the most underrated travel destinations. The food, sights and hospitality of the people are all incredible. From Din Tai Fung to bubble tea, the culinary scene has never been stronger in Taiwan. Yes, bubble tea originated from this amazing place! As for the sights, Taipei 101 is the sixth tallest building in the world, and well worth a visit! If you don't like heights, there are many beautiful gardens, quaint side streets and vibrant night markets! Also, the people there are extremely friendly. My mom, my grandma and I got lost on the way to Da'an Forest Park, and the Taiwanese were so keen to help! A group of girls even crossed three traffic lights with us to direct us to the park! Even after visiting Taiwan many times, I'd love to go back!

4. Los Angeles

From the very first second of Kard's Hola Hola MV, I was completely blown away by LA's aesthetic. It's a beautiful city, with beaches, shopping and celebrities! SoCal also is blessed with amazing weather all year long, with sunny skies and cool nights. It's on my list because of the beaches, Santa Monica Pier and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! There is something to do for everyone. Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Disneyland complete the uniquely LA experience! Give me one second to find my mickey mouse ears, then let's go!

3. Paris

Where do I start? Paris is absolutely amazing! Gorgeous scenery, deep cultual roots, incredible food and fashion, The City of Light is something out of a fairytale. You'll find the best croissants, macarons and pastries here! During my brief visit there, I got to practice my not-so-fluent French skills. For a foodie like me, there is a whole bucket list dedicated to Paris. From breakfast at Angelina's to macarons at Pierre Herme, there are so many things to try! I'm convinced that Berthillion has the best ice cream IN THE WORLD. If you ever are lucky enough to go, try the strawberry ice cream, it won't disappoint! Art fans will love the Musee d'Orsay, Musee Rondin and the Louvre, and fashionistas should visit Palais Galliera, Le Marais and buy high-quality fabrics for a cheaper price at Montmartre. C'est tres magnifique!

2. Tokyo

Tokyo is in a category of its own. Its quirky charm, culinary scene and fun atmosphere is unparalleled. From the vending machines to Harajuku, the cherry blossoms and the exceptional food, it is well worth a visit, or two, or three! Even though I have went many times, every experience was different. Whether you're going solo or with your family, it is an amazing city to visit. If you go during April, I recommend going to row a boat at Chidorigafuchi park to admire the cherry blossoms! There is a plethora of delicious food available, from sushi to udon to okonomiyaki. Let's go already!

1. Seoul

Let me just start by explaining that I'm a massive K-pop, K-beauty, Korean food and K-drama fan. Even though I have never been to Seoul, it's right on the top of my list to go. I'd visit the entertainment agencies, eat Korean BBQ, go K-beauty shopping for sheet masks in Myeongdong, fufill my Crash Landing on You fantasy of visiting the DMZ, there are so many things I want to do! Like Pyo Chi Su in Crash Landing On You, I'm probably going to be most impressed by the jimjilbangs and the 7 Eleven's haha. Can't wait!
